Special Information for moving out during Corona

Special rules for moving out:

We carry out pre-checks of the rooms. Please use this opportunity for a pre-check of your room! On the day you move out, drop the key for your room/apartment in the corresponding letterbox or the caretaker's letterbox by 10 a.m. on the last working day of your rental period. Working days are all days from Monday to Friday. The caretaker will then carry out the room inspection without you being present and check whether all the points on our checklist for moving out have been completed. Please note: the person who moves out is also responsible for cleaning the common rooms (bathroom, hall, kitchen). Talk to your roommates and ask for support. During the rental period you are all responsible for cleaning! Please remember the following points:

Checkliste zum Auszug

Zimmer/Room

• Nägel, Schrauben, Klebestreifen etc. von den Wänden entfernen; Dübellöcher verschließen remove nails, screws, glue strips etc. from walls; fill and close all dowel drills
• verschmutze Wände FACHMÄNNISCH weißen (NICHT fleckig; zur Not ein zweites Mal streichen!! Übergänge zur Decke beachten! Sonst anfallende Kosten min. 150€ -siehe Leistungskatalog) bei Auszug müssen Wände trocken sein/

Soiled walls have to be rewhitened PROFESSIONALLY (without stains or shades -otherwise: paint twice!) Please note that all walls have to be cleaned up to the ceiling – otherwise it will be done by a painter which will make you pay about 150€, depending on “Leistungskatalog”. All walls have to be dry when moving out

• Fenster, Jalousie und Fensterbänke putzen/ clean windows, blinds and window benches
• Möbel und Türen feucht reinigen (auch auf und in den Schränken) clean furniture and doors wet (mind inside and top of the cupboards)
• Bettkasten und Rollschublade auswischen/wipe bed frame and bedding box
• Matratze absaugen/ hoover your mattress
• Fußboden reinigen; ggf. wischen/clean the floor (mop linolium floors)
• Fußleisten feucht abwischen/mop baseboard
• Lampe reinigen und defekte Leuchtmittel ersetzen/ clean the lamps and replace broken light bulbs
• falls auseinandergebaut, Bett komplett zusammenbauen; Schrauben festziehen/ reassemble the bed and tighten the bolts
• Gaststudenten ggf. Bettwäsche zurück geben/return the bedding (students from abroad)

Bad/bath room

• Dusche (auch die Zwischenräume und Trennwände), Waschbecken, Toilette und Armaturen gründlich reinigen (glänzend)/clean the shower (mind interspaces and shower enclosure), toilett, washbasin and taps thoroughly (shiny!)
• Fenster und Spiegel reinigen/clean the window and mirror
• WC-Bürste erneuern/ renew the toilett brush
• Fußboden feucht wischen/whipe the floor wet
• ggf. defekte Leuchtmittel ersetzen/replace broken light bulbs

Küche/kitchen

• Herdplatten und Backofen gründlich reinigen (andernfalls anfallende Kosten ca. 85€) clean hotplate and baking oven well (otherwise: incidental expenses will cost 85 Euro)
• Kühlschrank gründlich reinigen; eigene Lebensmittel entfernen, Gefrierfach enteisen clean the fridge, remove your food, defrost the freezer
• Spüle und Arbeitsfläche entkalken und reinigen/decalcify and clean the sink and work surfaces
• Fliesen feucht abwischen/whipe the flaggings wet
• Fußboden wischen/whipe the floor wet
• defekte Leuchtmittel ersetzen/renew broken light bulbs
• Tisch, Stuhl und Hängeschrank aus- und abwischen (auch auf dem Schrank!)/ clean the table, chairs and wall cupboards from inside, top and underneath
• Fenster, Jalousien und Fensterbänke putzen/clean windows, blinds and window benches
• ggf. zusätzliche Ablagemöglichkeiten reinigen/if existing: clean additional shelfs and storage spaces

Flur/corridor

• Fußboden wischen und Fußleisten abwischen/whipe the floor wet and clean baseboards
• defekte Leuchtmittel ersetzen/renew broken light bulbs
• verunreinigte Wände reinigen, ggf. streichen/clean dirty walls, when indicated paint them

IN EINER WG IST IMMER DERJENIGE FÜR KÜCHE, BAD UND FLUR VERANTWORTLICH, DER AUSZIEHT!!!!!

RESPONSIBLE FOR THE MAINTENACE OF THE KITCHEN, BATH-ROOM AND CORRIDOR IN A SHARED FLAT IS ALWAYS THE ONE WHO IS MOVING OUT!!!
